Elton John is announcing retirement from Touring with Final World Tour span for three years starting in September.

John recently gave an interview to CNN’s Anderson Cooper that was live-streamed around the world.But unlike fellow music legend Neil Diamond, who declared his own retirement two days earlier, John’s road resignation isn’t effective immediately.

In an interview, John said: “I’ve been touring since I was 17 with various bands,” Secondly John said. “I thought the time is right to say thank you to all my fans and say goodbye.”

The crux of announcing a retirement is due to his children.

Moreover, he said, “We had children and had changed our lives and in 2015 we sat down with their school schedule and we said I’m going to miss too much of this.”

Secondly, John decided in 2015 that this would be his last tour. He added, “I’m not worried about stopping”.

John named his tour aka “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” that will be extended to 5 continents, initiated on 8 September with overwhelming 300 concerts.

Apart from that, The Hall Of Fame musician is going to perform in the Grammy Awards with Miley Cyrus this weekend at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Most of all, the artist do that farewell tours just to return to the road (limelight) like Cher, Ozzy Osbourne and Lil Wayne etc. John wants that for real and he added: “I’m not Cher”. However, He will be writing and recording even after his touring retirement.This wasn’t the first time that John wants to step away from touring. he told a crowd during 1977 show in London. He was performing at a punishing rate after two years.

Nevertheless, they have collaborated on more than 30 albums to date. In his five-decade career, Elton John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Only Madonna and Beatles surpass him. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, including seven consecutive No. 1 US albums, 27 Top 10 and nine No. 1. For 31 consecutive years (1970–2000) he had at least one song in the Billboard Hot 100.
